Be open to your dreams, people. Embrace that distant shore. Because our mortal journey is over all too soon.David Assael

This Memorial Web site was created for our loved one Vanessa Borg who was born in New York on July 29, 1982 and passed away on July 31, 2006 at the age of 24.In the short time she spent with us Vanessa made many friends and touched many lives. And always had a Smile.

It’s hard

to write about someone’s life as there are so many times in her life that she shone like thousands of stars each one representing point of her life. .What I can tell you about Vanessa is if you knew her your heart was touched. Her face was always with a Smile her Personality was so full of life and fun loving and always wanting to help others. I remember shortly after September 11th 2001 she was in shock like so many people but she said Dad I need to do something I am going to Volunteer at the Emergency Center that was set up on the West side to help the rescue workers and fire fighters with fresh water and socks and other supplies that were in great demand at the time.

She had developed a love with children that put her ambitions to become a teacher so she could teach young children and to see the fulfillment of helping them to read and write.

As a child growing up she was always the happy one as you can see for your self when you see her photos  in the web site. Her smile was forever present . it just came natural to her. As a daughter parents could not ask for more a child that's was happy and was always well behaved in school she was a key stone in our family strength as a sister to her brother they were not the brother and sister that's were always fighting that never happened, they were like a team so compatible together they were not just brother and sister they were Best Friends going to Movies, Concerts and Cafe's. It was truly a blessing
her love for Malta was very strong. Vanessa had spent many summers there with us and enjoying her grand parents, aunts and uncle and friends. There Vanessa developed a strong bond with them. when she was 18 she had a tattoo on her back it was the Maltese Cross she was very proud of the rich history that Malta had and was always telling her friends here in America of her wonder full vacation's
And if you never met Vanessa  you truly Missed a Special Person

I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to help build this web site and to continue  visiting it as it will always be changing. Please continue to write your Condolences and Tributes, you are not limited to how many times you write. Keep the Love and the Warmth of Vanessa Spirit glowing like the flame of eternal light. Vanessa may you give us all strength as you look down upon us.
May you Rest in Peace Vanessa.

A Fallen Limb

A limb has fallen from the family tree
I hear a voice that whispers "Grieve not for me."
Remember the best times, the laughter, the songs.
The good I lived while I was strong.

Continue my heritage, I am counting on you.
Keep on smiling, the sun will shine through.
My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest.
Remembering all... how I was truely blessed.

Continue traditions, no matter how small.
Go on with your life, don't stare at the wall.
I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin,
Until that fine day, we're together again.

Remember me when flowers bloom

remember  me early in the spring

Remember me on sunny days
in the fun that summer brings

Remember me in the fall
as you walk through the leaves of gold
And in the wintertime-remember me
in the stories that are told

But most of all remember
Each day-right from the start
I will be forever near
For I live within your hear

A Message to my Daughter
We walked together, you and I
A Mother and her Daughter
We had Hopes and Dreams for tomorrow.....
But tomorrow didn't come.
We walked together you and I

We talked, we laughed we loved.
We shared so many happy times,
And for that I thank the Lord above.
We walked together, you and I

But only for a short time.
For all too soon it ended
Leaving pieces of a broken heart behind
And even though I miss you

More than words could ever say.
I thank God that I got to walk with you
Every precious moment of every day....
