A Mother’s Day Wish From Heaven
I am writing to you from heaven, and though it must appear
A rather strange idea, I see everything from here.
I just popped in to visit, the stores to find a card
A card of love for my mother, as this day for her is hard.
There must be some mistake I thought, every card you could imagine
Except I could not find a card, from a child who lives in heaven.
She is still a mother too, no matter where I reside
I had to leave, she understands, but oh the tears she’s cried.
I thought that if I wrote you, that you would come to know
that though I live in heaven now, I still love my mother so.
She talks with me, and dreams with me; we still share laughter too,
Memories our way of speaking now, would you see what you could do?
My mother carries me in her heart, her tears she hides from sight.
She writes poems to honor me, sometimes far into the night
She plants flowers in my garden, there my living memory dwells
She writes to other grieving parents, trying to ease their pain as well.
So you see God, though I no longer live on earth
I must find a way, to remind her of her wondrous worth
She needs to be honored, and remembered too
Just as the children of earth will do.
Thank you God, I know you’ll do your best
I have done all I can do; to you I’ll leave the rest.
Find a way to tell her, how much she means to me
Until I can do it for myself, when she joins me in eternity.

A mother is someone to shelter and guide us,
To love us, whatever we do,
With a warm understanding and infinite patience,
And wonderful gentleness, too.
How often a mother means swift reassurance
In soothing our small, childish fears,
How tenderly mothers watch over their children
And treasure them all through the years.
The hearth of a mother is full of forgiveness
For any mistake, big or small,
And generous always in helping her family
Whose needs she has placed above all.
A mother can utter a word of compassion
And make all our cares fall away,
She can brighten a home with the sound of her laughter
And make life delightful and gay.
A mother possesses incredible wisdom
And wonderful insight and skill-
In each human heart is that one special corner
Which only a mother can fill!

I know you’re gone from this earth
You left me way too soon
But I feel your Love every time
I gaze up at the moon.
Sometimes I think I hear
A whisper in the wind
It sounds as if You’ve called my name
As Your Love to me You send.
Sometimes I do a silly thing
And Your laughter fills my ears
I know You’re right here with me
But I can’t see You through my tears.
I felt Your hand upon my shoulder
And I quickly turned to see
Visible... You were not
But I know You’re here with me.
In the night You sometime come
To visit in my dreams
My hands go out to touch You
But You’re just out of reach it seems.
For just a flash You appear
Standing close to me
Is it just my imagination
Or is it really You I see.
Even though You’re gone from me
And You watch me from above
I long for You everyday…
And I still feel Your love.
They say wings are a gift, coming from heaven above
Handed down by God and given out of love
They say wings are a gift, given to God’s precious few
To those who are selfless, caring and true

I miss you qalbi.....and there has been so many times that I wish you were still here and that I could talk to you..so many things have happened and I think I wonder what Vanessa woulda said or what your thoughts woulda been...i simply miss you and love you =(
